乾隆皇帝的御制诗中，常以“少贵似晨星”“晨星真可贵“等，形容易文物的珍贵稀有，尤其有”赵宋官窑晨星看“一句，可知乾隆皇帝珍视如宝贝的文物正是宋朝官窑瓷器。
台北故宫博物院收藏的清宫传世青瓷，数量甚多，不仅件件可以追溯出原来存放的处所，而且透过镌刻其上的御制诗，亦呈现乾隆皇帝爬梳文献的心得，以及十八世纪的官窑概念与分类。以古监今，当下的我们究竟应该如何看待这批传世珍藏呢？此一展览一方面回溯清宫收藏的脉络，另一方面也整含当今陶瓷史研究问题所在，展览分成“汝窑与北宋官窑””南宋官窑“”青瓷碎器“和”监赏与发现“四个单元，期望通过传世宝物，文献记载与考古材料的连结，展现十二至十四世纪青瓷的烧制背景，监赏风情与作品特征。
